The company is involved in the management activities of a holding firm for various subsidiary undertakings within a group active in various industries including retailing, transport, real estate, construction, media, leisure and welfare services. Incorporated in June 2002, the company handles the administrative affairs and services of a holding company and grants management services to its subsidiaries. It also provides financial support and control function for the board. Furthermore, it is responsible for managing the group and its overall legal structure, tax planning, financial and equity structures. In addition, the company is involved in matters of policy, strategic planning, marketing, selecting and manning senior management positions, approving investments and budgets, and the overall ongoing monitoring of the group companies' performance. Based in Cordoba, Spain, it has direct and indirect holdings in approximately 117 companies, including holding firms such as Zoco Inversiones, S.L., Adamante Inversiones, S.R.L., Cérix Global Hispania, and Corporación Empresarial CajaSur, S.L. The company brings together most of the group companies owned by Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Córdoba (CajaSur), a community welfare institution whose main functions are to encourage, attract and administer savings; set up and maintain community projects; promote and carry out schemes and investments aimed at raising the cultural, social and economic standards of the members of the community it serves.
